Your hiring checklist. Have you ticked off these 5 things?
January 24, 2021Hiring is easily one of the most critical elements in the success of any Organization. Your people are at the heart of achieving your mission and vision for the customer. A wise man said hire slowly, and fire quickly. But if you hire right, then you don’t have to worry too much about firing.
According to Catherine Wekesa, CEO at the International Talent Management Consulting Limited, when hiring, there are a 5 things that you are supposed to consider.
Here is what to consider.
- Training and development.
How are you thinking about training and developing them? Do you want to train them or do you want them to be already trained?
- Performance appraisals.
How are you going to monitor them so as to make sure that their performance is up there where you need it to be?
- Recruitment packages.
Where are you getting these people from and how exactly are you conducting those interviews?
- Maintaining morale
Once you have the people necessary to fill the gap in your business, how will you manage them so that their morale is always high that they are able to make sure you achieve all your goals?
- Setting Competitive Compensation levels.
Make sure that as you push them to do their best you are also able to pay them enough to compensate for all the work they are in the business.
