Unthinkable Spotlight: Tom Kimani, Co-Founder and MD at Presta Technologies

At Presta, we believe there is a better way to lending. A more valuable, pocket friendly and less invasive way where customers are earned rather than bought. We’re obsessively passionate about seeing a future where communities, regardless of their financial muscle, can be empowered to support and grow members of the community.

Presta Limited was established in 2017, as a subsidiary of Work point Limited, a 5 year old software development house. Presta exists to open up the mobile lending market to many more players in the mid and low-level lending sector including; Sacco’s, MFI’s and other community lending organizations.

The Co-Founder, Tom Kimani describes himself as a Tech-preneur with a keen interest in fintech, a father & husband. His mission is to contribute to financial inclusion in Africa through the support of alternative formal and informal lending solutions.

We caught up with Tom and 5 rapid fire questions his way, here’s how it went:

What motivates you to get out of bed every morning?

Solving the many problems in the tech space and ensuring that our product has a great impact on the African market.

If money was not a factor, what would you be doing with your life?

Empowering as many young tech talented people.

What do you love most about what you do for a living?

Freedom – I can work from wherever and still achieve as much.

What are the 3 things you are professionally amazing at?
